⚠ Common Reasons SBA Applications Are Delayed
- Tax returns not signed or missing schedules
- Bank statements missing pages or showing unexplained large deposits
- Personal financial statement not current (must be within 90 days of application)
- Business debt schedule incomplete — missing any existing loans
- Ownership not clearly documented (especially with multiple owners)
- Prior SBA loan defaults not disclosed upfront
All documents must be complete — no missing pages. Tax returns must be signed. If you've filed extensions, provide the extension and the most recent filed return. If your business is newer and doesn't have 3 years of returns, provide what you have plus a detailed business plan.
